This is our last official album as a band, and it's my personal favorite. Chris started playing guitar and I really like the interplay with Kenny. We decided to make some tracks instrumental and some with vocals. I really like the drum sound on this record (we recorded them in open large rooms to get a big reverb sound).

The writing process was mostly jamming out ideas in Tim and I's basement and it seemed to mark a new direction for the band. Unfortunately life got in the way and we decided to call it a day after 8 years together. There are some unreleased tracks that will probably never see the light of day, but they were in a similar vein as III and are really cool in my opinion.

We recorded this album straight to protools track by track, but were really experimenting with mic placement and room sound. We designed and assembled the artwork ourselves. We cut out every insert and put everything together at a friends house, it was pretty fun actually. We wanted to make it look as good as we could, but not charge our fans (friends) an arm and a leg. I think we succeeded.

This record is bittersweet for me because it marks the last thing we did as a band. I really miss playing music with those guys and I am happy that we recorded a few things along the way for posterity.
